Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 am and drive you to a very special national park. Tarangire is famous for its diverse landscape with nine distinct vegetation zones. The park is famous for its ancient baobab trees the largest trees on the continent that decorate the landscape and dwarf the animals that surround them.
The rivers of this park are teeming with wildlife ranging from different species of birds to lions leopards zebras giraffes buffaloes deer and of course elephants. In fact the park has the highest concentration of elephants in the entire country and offers a unique opportunity to witness interactions between elephant families.
The dining room is interesting as it has an observatory with beautiful views of the river and wildlife (with great game viewing opportunities while picnicking). In the afternoon we will do another game drive before continuing to your accommodation.
An extra tour that could be done: Night game drive inside the park
Like in Lake Manyara, plenty of accommodation options can serve this park.

Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Natron
You will leave with lunch boxes to take towards Lake Natron. Located about 3.5 hours drive from Lake Mto Wa Mbu/Manyara Natron it is a real destination and a unique natural landscape. Its waters are very alkaline and unusually shallow, averaging only one meter deep.
After camping and resting for a while put on your walking shoes and let the Masai take you to the shores of Lake Natron to look for birds especially the little flamingos.
Lake Natron is the most important and common breeding site for lesser flamingos in East Africa, hosting up to 2 million of them during the breeding season. Most egg laying and hatching occurs from September to January. After the hike, you will return to your campsite.

Day 4: Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti. Along adventurous slopes, the Rift Valley juts out into the wide plains of the Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is one of the largest natural migration systems for wild animals.
Each year, more than 1.4 million wildebeest, almost 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles, around 200,000 zebras and several thousand topi migrate between the three conservation areas mentioned above. They move with the rainy season to areas with vegetation and lush meadows.
Additionally, the park is home to many other animal species, such as giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas, elephants and crocodiles. Particularly large is the population of feline predators: around 3,000 lions, 300 cheetahs and approximately 400-700 leopards have their hunting grounds here.
Along the way, you will enjoy seeing many different wild animals such as leopards, lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, zebras and birds.
After a long but spectacular journey, and a fantastic afternoon game drive on the way.
There is accommodation for all budgets and styles in the Serengeti.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
On this day we recommend that you get up early and go on a safari (when the animals are most active) to witness the best sunrises you will ever see. After the game drive, we return to the lodge/camp for a rewarding brunch and then we’ll proceed to Ngorongoro, the 8th wonder of the Natural World.
The crater spreads for 102 sq. miles and has 2.000ft high walls, making it virtually Noah’s ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. This is one of the rare places in the African continent where black rhinos can be seen. The African continent has the highest concentration of wildlife.
The crater has a river several swamps a soda lake a large number of flamingos forests and open fields. It is also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world. This is due to the mineral richness of the volcanic soil and its grasses.
Our recommendations are:
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
We will start the day very early and head to the crater floor to enjoy an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most beautiful places on earth. At the end of the game drive there will be time for a lunch the beautiful Hippo Lake.. After lunch we will have time for a short safari along the gorge and then we will proceed to Karatu on the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for overnight and dinner.

Day 9: From Lake Eyasi to Lake Manyara
After breakfast, you will traverse the rugged road to Lake Eyasi, another refreshing lake in the Rift Valley. You will arrive in the afternoon for a cultural interaction with the Tatoga tribe (a very interesting tribe).
Our Tatoga guide in the village will lead the tour. You will explore on foot the area of dry and rugged landscape, which is still inhabited by a small group of bushmen, the Hadzabe or Watindiga.
These tribes still live in groups hunting with bows and arrows and gathering tubers and wild fruit to survive just as people did 10,000 years ago. Another interesting tribe in this area are the Datoga (also called Barabaig or Mang’ati).
We recommend sleeping in the same camp/lodge as the night before.
