Day 3: Maasai Boma Visit safarie
Now its time to relax in African style! One of my favorite Swahili expressions is pole pole (slow slow) and thats exactly what happened today! After a few days of busy activities and travel you might want to take a nap or have a quick cup of coffee while watching the animals grazing near the restaurant.
After breakfast we visit Maasai Boma a traditional Maasai house consisting of a variety of small huts made from mud sticks and cow dung. The boma is surrounded by a circular fence of thorn bushes to protect the tribe and their animals from predators.
During your visit you can practice traditional dances talk about the traditions and customs of daily life and admire the beautiful garlands of Maasai women. The rest of the day can be spent in relaxation mode. Take a dip in the pool read a book or cycle to Mto wa Mbu. Before you know it it will be time to enjoy fresh vegetables from our garden.

The crater of this dormant volcano is about 3 million years old and covers an area of 20 square kilometers. It is the largest complete crater in the world. The wildlife in the pit is stunning with its natural range. The crater is home to the Big Five and offers excellent opportunities to see the rare black rhino.
