Arusha is the safari capital of the country and a bustling ‘tourism-driven city. You will be met by your driver-guide at Arusha Airport and together you will begin the transfer to Tarangire National Park to start your private safari game drive.
The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, which crosses the National Park and is the main source of fresh water for wildlife. This tranquil park is famous for its elephants migratory birds and authentic safari atmosphere.
You will enjoy a packed lunch at midday and at the end of the afternoon game drive, you will make your way to your accommodation for dinner and overnight. On arrival, you will have time to refresh before finishing the day with dinner under the stars and a good night’s sleep in one of the comfortable tinted Lodge.
In fact the park has the highest concentration of elephants in the country and offers a unique opportunity to witness interactions between elephant families.
Additional tours available: Night game drive in the park.
After an early breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti. Along adventurous slopes, the Rift Valley juts out into the wide plains of the Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is one of the largest natural migration systems for wild animals.
Each year, more than 1.4 million wildebeest, almost 300,000 Thomson's gazelles, around 200,000 zebras and several thousand topi migrate between the three conservation areas mentioned above. They move with the rainy season to areas with vegetation and lush meadows.
Additionally, the park is home to many other animal species, such as giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas, elephants and crocodiles. Particularly large is the population of feline predators: around 3,000 lions, 300 cheetahs and approximately 400-700 leopards have their hunting grounds here.
Along the way, you will enjoy seeing many different wild animals such as leopards, lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, zebras and birds.
Today you will spend the whole day in the park. You will go out and start exploring at dawn. You will have a full-day safari exploring the beautiful Serengeti landscape in search of the Big Five. You will then return to the camp to enjoy a hot lunch and then head out for an afternoon game drive.
There are more than just large mammals in the Serengeti. There are more than 500 species of birds recorded, from the large ostrich and the rare secretary bird of the open grasslands to the black eagles that fly effortlessly over the savannah. You will continue searching for Serengeti wildlife and return to the camp at sunset for dinner and overnight.
We will make sure you follow the wildebeest migration during your tour with us on this day.
On this day we recommend waking up very early and taking an early morning tour (when the animals are most active) to catch one of the most beautiful sunrises youve ever seen. It truly is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have.

The crater covers 102 square miles is 2000 feet highThis is one of the rare places on the entire continent to see black rhinos. The concentration of African wildlife is the highest on the continent. The crater contains rivers swamps soda lakes forests and fields that are home to many flamingos.
